Musicians

There is a Chinese saying that goes, "A single conversation with a wise person is worth a month's study of books."

Without the generous and thoughtful contributions of the superb musicians below, this book would be much less rich and interesting and useful.

I am deeply and humbly grateful to all the musicians who have been willing to share their wisdom, their experience, and a small part of their knowledge of practice with me. This includes the hundreds of researchers who have contributed to the research record about music practice. My heartfelt thanks to all of you.

Below are just a few of the fantastic musicians I've talked to in preparation for this book. If you don't know of these musicians, check them out! I've included links to some of my favorite recordings. Please support these generous musicians by purchasing their music.
